NOTICE TO ALL OUR LOYAL FANS: FAMILY HAS ALWAYS BEEN OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE TO THIS BAND FOR FAMILY AND THE ONES YOU LOVE ARE THE FOUNDATION FOR EVERYTHING. WE WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT FAITH OF THE DAMNED IS NOT GONE. THE BAND HAS BEEN ON HIATUS DUE TO FAMILY OBLIGATIONS. SINGER JOHN "NEWY" HARVEY'S MOTHER HAD BEEN SUFFERING FROM A COMPLICATED AND TERMINAL ILLNESS FROM WHICH SHE PASSED ON JULY 25, 2014. NEWY AND HIS MOTHER WERE VERY CLOSE AND SHE WAS ONE OF THE BAND'S STRONGEST SUPPORTERS. THE BAND WILL RETURN ONCE NEWY AND HIS FAMILY HAVE HAD SOME TIME TO GRIEVE AND BEGIN TO PUT THIS TRAGEDY BEHIND THEM. UNTIL THEN, THEY WISH TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT.
On November 23, 2013, Faith Of The Damned performed at the Fall Throwdown show which was presented by Gorilla Music and held at Dunbar Lanes in Dunbar, WV. This was a killer show and they played to a packed house. At this show, the band shared the stage with some wonderful bands from WV including a phenomenal solo artist from Morgantown, WV by the name of Kevin Merrill who goes by the stage name Deerbourne. His lyrics paint such remarkable imagery, it is unbelievable. They also shared the stage with a truly wicked band from Cleveland, OH by the name of Darling Waste. These guys put on a heck of a show.
Everyone had a wonderful time and Faith Of The Damned has been invited by the venue to come back and play there again once a show date can be arranged. Have to say that Scotty Johnson and his partner have done a very good job of opening up the bowling alley to live music. Many recreational venues around the country such as bowling alleys, ping pong clubs and others are now doing this and I believe that Dunbar Lanes is the first in the Charleston, WV area to do so. The music side does not interfere with the bowling lanes as it is in a separate part of the building in its own area and has that music club feel to it. You don't even have to go in to the bowling alley to access the music area although they do share the same restrooms. This is good for families as well as families can bowl and come in and listen to live music and it is an all age venue. Can't wait to play there again.
A big thank you to everyone who came out to see us and the other bands and thanks for supporting local music. OUR FRIENDS AND FANS ROCK!!!
See you soon till then Keep Rockin!

"Let Me Go In Silence"
I ask this of you...Please, I beg you, take heart, take heed and for one brief moment, mirage
this heavy notion on your brow...
If asked what the last sound you'd ever want to hear would be, what would you answer?
For some, it would be the beautiful composition of the fondest symphony.
For most, they would simply answer let it be a final declaration of their one-true beloved's adoration that swells inside their ears.
For me, it would be the easiest choice I would ever have to settle on but a decision I could not make.
You see, it would not be music or words that I would long to hear as the white slowly fades in.
I would choose the soothing composition of the sound that fills me as the one I love lays her head upon my chest and her breathing comforts me.
That sound would comfort me to peace. The sweet sound of my daughter's quick breath that she takes in before she smiles…that would give me the joy so not to pass with a saddened heart.
The sound that my son breathes in my ear as he hugs his arms around my neck, that
sound would give hope and faith, the faith and hope that I leave behind a world
that still holds goodness and love. I could not choose between these.
These all are the things that make my life worthy of reflection.
If I could not be granted these, then I beg, PLEASE let me go in silence.
If I cannot hear their splendor in my heart, then I choose to hear nothing, not even the empty echo of a vacant hall. These things in all are what breathed life to my living.
Without them, silence has already slipped me.
So, please, I beg you, let me go in silence.
I Love you, M, K, & L, 'till god takes the last breath from me.
John Andrew Harvey
